Green Policy Statement

At EXFO, we are dedicated to meeting the highest standards of environmental compliance. This responsibility includes implementing the recycling requirements established by the European Union (EU). Our product end-of-life recycling activities comply with the 'Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment or WEEE Directive' (2002/96/EC), and our product packaging materials adhere to the requirements of the 'Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive' (94/62/EC).

Our products also fulfill the recycling requirements as mandated by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) in the People's Republic of China. Additional product markings encourage appropriate disposal of consumables by the end-user.

In respect to the EU's 'Restriction of Hazardous Substances or RoHS Directive' (2002/95/EC), the OmniCure® S2000 and the Excelerate® PIN-100 meet the requirements of this directive, and all new products currently in development are being designed to be RoHS compliant.

In an effort to minimize impact on the environment in the future, EXFO Life Sciences & Industrial Division is developing new 'eco-friendly' technologies to reduce or eliminate the disposal of potentially hazardous substances back into the environment.
